7 Springs

Seven Springs (Epta Piges)
The area was named after the seven springs that are located on a slope and from which water flows from the river Loutani. The water from these seven points passes through a narrow tunnel which ends up in a lake located in the area.
The lake has a depth of 1 to 8 meters and a length of about 200 meters. It is an artificial lake that was created thanks to the construction of a dam from the Italians in 1931, in order to supply water to the neighboring village of Kolymbia.
The tunnel of the Seven Springs connecting the river to the lake began to be built in 1920 and was completed 11 years later. The tunnel is 150 meters long and 13 meters deep. In the middle of the route, there is a well which serves as a light source and ventilation, while the lake where the waters end up is fenced off by a dam where a waterfall is formed.
The route to the Seven Springs and the ravine with plane trees and pines are of great natural beauty. Along the entire width of the ravine there are small bridges, a pond with ducks and peacocks which are roaming around.

There you can find the restaurant and dine there while enjoying the scenic view of the natural environment with ducks and peacocks roaming around.
