Faliraki

Faliraki is located at the northern end of the east coast of Rhodes. It’s just 15km from the island’s capital Rhodes Town and that would usually be less than half an hour in the car.

While Faliraki has a reputation about its bars and nightclubs, it has grown and developed into more of a family resort.

Theres a variety of choices for hotels, apartments and other accommodation as there’s tons of options, from all-inclusive hotels with pools and even waterslides to small family run B&Bs as well as various levels in between.

One of the best attractions to Faliraki is the enormous sandy beach, it’s one of the best on the island, it runs from the small harbour at the southern end for nearly 5km to the much quieter northern end. Along the length there’s sun loungers to hire and various places for food and drinks as well as watersports vendors. There’s boat tours and boat hire available at the beach and scuba diving courses too.

The town itself has everything you need with lots of restaurants including fast food options. There’s also supermarkets and a variety of shops. For moving around there is car hire outlets.

Faliraki nightlife

The nightlife in Faliraki is good. There’s the bars and clubs that youngsters love as well as more subdued options for those that prefer to take it easy.

If you like some entertainment in the evenings then look out for karaoke nights, greek dancing and live music which are all available.

In general you’ll probably find yourself enjoying an evening meal in a nice restaurant and then either staying there for some drinks or heading out to one of the many bars and enjoying a few cold beers, glasses of local wine or even a cocktail or two.

Around Faliraki there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained with a mini golf course, an aquarium, a trampoline park and a water park.

As well as all this you can head south to Anthony Quinn beach in Ladiko bay which is a lovely sandy beach in a stunning setting, not to be missed whilst on the island.

If you want to explore Rhodes island then Faliraki is in a good location, you can head north to visit the old town of Rhodes with its cobbled streets where you can get lost for hours exploring the shops, restaurants, bars and historical buildings. You can also head south and visit Afandou or even Lindos which is probably about 40 minutes away.
