Agathi Beach

Agathi Beach
Agathi beach is famous for its fine sand and its shallow waters. On your way to the beach, you will also be able to see and visit the Medieval Castle of Feraclos (Feraklos), which is also worth considering.
Fine, wet sand and some canteens – this is the only thing you will find on Agathi beach in Rhodes. It is a beautiful, sheltered, cosy beach, and the only sign of civilization are its canteens, all of them providing you with the necessary food and refreshments.
At the right side of the beach you will find some interesting underwater rock formations along the coastline, making this also an ideal spot for snorkeling.

At the end of the beach there is a 700-800 year old cave chapel with a white painted front. On the left side there is a cave secured with grids and on the right side some rooms built into the rock.

Although many believe Camping may be possible there, this is not the case. Camping is not allowed at this site. That does not mean that you cannot spend the night at the beach though, as Agathi beach offers shallow warm waters and is mostly wind protected, it is a perfect location for a night swim.
To get to the beach, follow the signs from Haraki (5 minutes along a passable dirt road). Half way along the road you come upon the medieval castle of Feraclos. The canteens at the beach rent out sun beds, umbrellas and have lavatories and showers.
